Northampton Motorsport.
This is a brief demonstration of how we use the dyno for tuning, the Westfield is pulling 140 mph in fourth at 9,000 rpm so the enclosed surroundings amplify the noise.

Derek Hodders Supercharged Honda engined Westfield
Derek brought his car to us after it wouldnt fit on his usual tuners engine dyno. the car runs a Honda K20 engine with a Jackson racing supercharger coupled to a Quaife G60 sequential gearbox. Management is by DTA S80 with full throttle gearshift, traction and launch control. On the day the heat from the exhaust manifold melted the throttle cable so we had to rig up a hasty hand throttle so we could finish the session. The engine made 360 bhp and had 232 ft lbs of torque from 4000 to 8500 rpm. weighing in at 400kg without all its bodywork etc it is a good demonstration of our superlow dyno's amazing traction and repeatability. The early runs at 320 bhp were before final optimisation of fuel and igniton settings.

Joss Ronchetti first brought his Sunbeam Lotus to us in 2007 and we have been privileged to be involved in its development since then. The car is immaculately prepared by Mike and Phil of Seaman Motorsport and Joss regularly takes on and beats much newer and supposedly capable machinery. Last year saw the capacity rise to 2.7 ltrs and power to 330 bhp at 8500 rpm. Enjoy this trip round Cadwell.
