Suspension Tuning Services
To complement our vehicle suspension alignment service we are able to offer a more detailed analysis of the damper and spring package.
We have access to a state of the art Dynamics Multimatic hydraulic damper dynamometer with skilled damper and suspension technicians to operate it.
By dyno testing dampers we are able to establish if they are working at maximum efficiency and are equally matched across the car.
For race cars damper efficiency is crucial to the cars handling and performance, with professional race teams checking dampers after every race.
Poor damper performance means poor vehicle handling, lack of traction and braking performance.
For adjustable dampers we can plot the ranges of adjustment and advise on settings for each particular scenario.
With a hydraulic dyno it is also possible to rate check coil springs and bump stops from open length to solid.

For a cost of £160 per car set we can provide a detailed report on the state of your damper and spring package.
For our motorsport customers we will also be able to offer a damper repair and rebuild service for most common race and rally dampers such as Olhins, Proflex, Penske, Moton and Dynamics.
A gradual drop off in damping efficiency may have occurred and the driver adapted to it, but once rebuilt the difference is very noticeable.
Prices are based on the dampers already removed from the vehicle and delivered to Northampton Motorsport. We can remove and refit dampers for an additional charge.
