Rolling Road Tuning
Our Superflow AD30 2 wheel drive chassis dyno has a 1200 bhp and 225 mph capacity. The knurled rollers give excellent traction with no tyre slip and the high inertia of the roller assembly allows us to accurately recreate all driving conditions. As well as optimising power and torque at full throttle we also focus on driveability and part throttle performance. This ensures your race car is as easy to drive as your road car and your road car is as responsive as your race car.
ECU Remapping
We have chosen market leading partners to supply our remapping services, Revo and SM Tuning are both companies with their own R&D facilities including rolling roads and all offer full technical back up. With a remap from Northampton Motorsport your car will feel sharper and more responsive.
Wheel Alignment
We have the latest Hunter HD alignment system that lets us measure and visualise the complete 4 wheel alignment of your car. On your road car, this means that we can optimise handling, safety and economy. On your race, rally or track day car we can ensure the geometry is optimised for your suspension and tyre type to help you extract the maximum performance available.
Carburettor Servicing
As well as being fully conversant with modern electronic engine management we know all about carburettors too. We have a unique 3 stage refurbishment process to bring your old and weary carbs back to their former glory.
Vehicle Diagnostics
Our experience, knowledge and equipment allow the team at Northampton Motorsport to pinpoint and repair defects that others can only struggle with. Our specialist equipment allows us to drill down to the cause of the problem within a budget that suits your requirements.

Meet The Team
Troy
Troy started his motor trade career with Bond Street Saab in Leicestershire and subsequently moved to Francis Honda as After Sales Director. After almost 18 years in the retail motor trade he decided to follow his true passion and bought a majority shareholding and became Managing Director at Northampton Motorsport. Despite this grand title, he is very hands on and his day to day focus is on the operation of the rolling road part of the business and he carries out the majority of the tuning work.
Steve
Steve started his motor trade career as an apprentice at Wadham Stringer, Northamptonshire’s main Jaguar dealer. After completing his training and working as part of their service team for a number of years, he moved on to Halfords and soon became a Centre Manager. Like Troy, Steve also wanted to move into a more specialised field and joined the Carburettor and Injection Centre where he was involved in carburettor repair, refurbishment, diagnostics and rolling road tuning. As the Carburettor and Injection Centre migrated into Northampton Motorsport, Steve remained in the organisation as the main workshop manager but he also has an invaluable knowledge of tuning, carburettors and classic cars. Steve also carries out all of our carburettor refurbishment work.
Amanda
Amanda has had a successful career in business administration and account management. After starting with a small plastics company in Leicestershire, Amanda moved to Mattel Toys where she was a key account manager (dream job or what!!) From there, she went onto Ekins surveyors (a subsiduary of Barclays) where she was the customer services manager and latterly the business relationship manager. In 2008 she decided to leave the cut and thrust of corporate business to take on the greater challenge of bringing some organisation to the world of Northampton Motorsport.
Chris
After serving his apprenticeship at a local garage, Chris joined Northampton Motorsport in 2012. Since then he has developed his skill set relishing in any new challenge sent in his direction. Chris now has several responsibilities but spends the majority of his time building bespoke wiring looms for our engine management installations. He is also responsible for ECU remapping, general workshop mechanical tasks and working with James on Wheel Alignments & Corner Weighting. Chris is the self-proclaimed International Man of Motorsport and takes this role very seriously.
Jack
After 15 years of faithful service Jack sadly left us in 2018 but we all loved him so much we couldn't bring ourselves to remove him from the team so he's staying put. Jack was an invaluable member of the team with diverse skills such as lolling around in his bed, playing football with tennis balls, barking at the hoover and soliciting treats from visitors using his power of cuteness.
James
James's background is in the retail motor trade having started his career working for BMW, SEAT and Alfa Romeo franchises. Whilst this has allowed him to develop a high level of expertise in modern vehicle technology, his true passion lies with Motorsport. His fabrication skills and ability to put together top level track machines was confirmed when his Civic Type-R was voted car of the year by Japanese tuning magazine Banzai. Alongside James’s role within the workshop, he also carries out the vast majority of our Wheel Alignments bookings.
Ollie
Ollie joined the company back in March 2019. He has settled into his role quickly and relishes the challenges of his working day and enjoys the interaction with the team and customers alike. He didn’t seem to enjoy modelling the new Northampton Motorsport beanie hat.
Martin
Like Amanda, Martin started off his career in the corporate sector working for an American Bank as a Marketing Manager. His true passion was motorsport and it wasn’t long until he was following his passion. He left the financial sector and worked for a local Peugeot Tuning specialist where he developed the knowledge required to apply his marketing skills to the motor trade. Martin is now responsible for our website, online shop and social media channels. He can usually be seen running around the workshop and rolling road taking photos of everything…
Craig
Craig started his journey in the motor trade as an apprentice in an independent garage where he received his qualifications as an automotive repairer with additional qualifications in Motorsport Engineering. Craig has had stints at working at various companies such as Land Rover as well as successfully running his own business for several years. Craig has a very random car collection… His fleet contains a modified Mk2 Escort, Skoda Pickup, a Singer Gazelle as well as several quad bikes and motorbikes. In his spare time, he is a keen gardener and proudly grows vegetables which he enjoys sharing with the team.
Victor
All the way from Sao Paulo Brazil, Victor joined the team in 2023 with a wealth of Motorsport experience. He started his journey in the motor trade working in a Citroen main dealer in Brazil whilst studying at Senai Automotive College. He had a brief stint in Italy working for independent garages before settling here in the UK. Since being over here, he has worked in independent garages as well as a Peugeot Tuning specialist before deciding to join us here at Northampton Motorsport. He has a keen interest in electronics, calibration and knows his way around an engine and gearbox.
